Their Work

Founded in 1989, the Brightside Animal Center in Redmond, Oregon identifies as a “high-save” shelter. Working with dedicated shelter volunteers, foster homes and foster hospice homes, Brightside aims to prepare all of their animals for a successful match with their potential new families.

Every cat and dog that enters Brightside is vetted and given all of the care and preparation they need until they are ready for a new home. Their patience and tireless work has allowed Brightside to find homes for 96% of the cats and 98% of the dogs that came to them in the last year. Additionally Brightside offers rabies vaccine clinics, low-cost dog training, micro-chipping and low-cost spay/neuter services to the community.

SPCA International is proud to support Brightside Animal Center’s initiative and their current plans for a feline isolation ward.
