Their Work

Delhi the Street Dog Foundation was established in 2018 to help address the overwhelming street dog population in India. While traveling through India, founder Jessica Haltzman crossed paths with so many loving street dogs that deserved a chance to find their forever homes. She also found and adopted an injured puppy, whom she named Delhi. Becoming a team with Delhi inspired Jessica to create a foundation in hopes of giving Indian street dogs the chance at a new life.

Delhi the Street Dog Foundation primarily partners with Indian rescue organizations to provide safe transport for adoptable dogs from India to the United States where they can find a home with a loving family. The organization also strongly promotes spay and neuter to humanely manage the street dog population. Sine 2018, they have sterilized over 1,600 dogs.

SPCA International is proud to support Delhi the Street Dog Foundation as they continue to grow and positively impact the lives of Indian street dogs.
