Their Work
Sorrento Coast Animal Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to helping abandoned street animals. They aid the stray animal population by providing food and veterinary care as well as running trap-neuter-release (TNR) programs. When appropriate, they help find permanent homes for abandoned animals. On average they are able to aid 400 animals per year.
Because Sorrento relies heavily on tourism, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the quality of life of local animals. With owned pets being abandoned on the street, the number of street animals in need has significantly increased, making Sorrento Coast Animal Rescue’s work more critical than ever.
SPCA International is proud to support Sorrento Coast Animal Rescue’s sterilization efforts and help them improve the lives of abandoned animals and the community.
