Their Work

The mission of Fayetteville Animal Protection Society, Inc. (FAPS) is to provide a licensed, No-Kill shelter for homeless animals until they are adopted into a loving and caring lifetime environment, to reduce the population of stray animals, and to promote responsible pet ownership. As a part of this mission, they rescue animals from county shelters, placing animals too young for adoption or needing medical care into foster homes where they receive care and love until they are ready for adoption. North Carolina ranks 9th in population and 3rd in animals euthanized. Therefore FAPS tend to put their saving efforts into the county shelters where animals are at the most risk of euthanasia.

Ensuring their shelter’s environment remains safe, clean, and comfortable for all its residents is paramount to them. This involves regular facility maintenance, cleanliness protocols, and procuring necessary supplies and equipment. Beyond their on-the-ground efforts, FAPS also leverages their active social media presence to advocate for animal rights, educate the public about the challenges faced by abandoned or mistreated animals, and highlight the joys of adopting pets from shelters. We are honored to call them our partners and to provide them with the necessary aid to maintain their shelter operations and continue to save countless lives.
