Chimp Haven’s mission is to provide and promote the best care of sanctuary chimpanzees and inspire action for the species worldwide. As
the world’s largest chimpanzee sanctuary, Chimp Haven is home to more than 300 chimps formerly used in biomedical research. There, on over two hundred acres of beautiful, forested land in Keithville, Louisiana, the chimps spend their days in an environment designed especially for them – complete with expert veterinary care, multi-acre forested habitats to explore, large, dynamic social groups, and healthy foods and enrichment prepared for them daily. Regardless of their past challenges, Chimp Haven is focused on their future, ensuring every chimpanzee has a beautiful new life at the sanctuary.
SPCA International is inspired by the remarkable work that Chimp Haven is doing. We are thrilled to partner with them and collaborate to provide a happy home for even more rescued chimps.
