The dogs in this image were destined for slaughter. As you can see, they are piled on top of each other in tiny wire cages. There’s no food or water…they are covered in filth and crying for help.

These dogs where saved thanks to the activist in this picture, Du Yufeng. Activists like her are critical in the fight to stop the dog meat trade, but they can’t do it without financial support. SPCAI provides funding to rescuers all over the world.
