Fatima's Fund

When I rescued Fatima, a starving stray dog who had just given birth to six tiny puppies during a film shoot in Morocco, I had no idea how profoundly they would change my life. Watching them transform from desperate and fragile to healthy and thriving inspired me to take action for the millions of stray dogs in Morocco who face neglect and hardship every day.

That’s why I created Fati’s Fund in partnership with SPCA International and Sunshine Animal Rescue Agadir (SARA). Together, we’re rescuing vulnerable animals, supporting critical spay-and-release programs, and advocating for stronger animal welfare laws.

To jumpstart this mission, I will personally match the first $5,000 in donations. That means every dollar you give will double its impact—bringing us closer to saving more lives.

Join me in giving these dogs a second chance. They deserve it. - Matti Leshem

Help Us Change the Lives of Animals in Need

Every dollar given goes directly to Fati's Fund and supports SPCA International's and SARA's ongoing work to improve the lives of Morocco's strays.

SPCA International

SPCA International works to advance the safety and well-being of animals worldwide through rescue efforts, advocacy, and support for animal welfare organizations. They provide funding, resources, and programs to aid shelters, promote spay/neuter initiatives, and respond to animals in crisis globally.

Sunshine Animal Rescue Agadir (SARA)

SARA cares for over 1,300 animals across three shelters in Morocco, including a municipal pound they now manage in partnership with the local government. They prioritize humane TNVR programs, improved shelter conditions, and free spay/neuter clinics, while working to expand enclosures and cover essential operating costs.
