Nothing says summer like a pool party. Watch as shelter dogs in Argentina are let loose at the pool. We can all identify with their rush to the cool water. Forget the sunscreen, these dogs are ready for a swim with their pals.

Tom Sandi and a group of concerned citizens to found Campaign Against Cruelty to Animals Sierra Leone. Today, they provide food and medical care for animals and have reached thousands of people through their education efforts.

Over the past two months the SPCA International community stepped up quickly with critical financial support to transport two dogs – Syri and Rubble – to the U.S. Thanks to that support, both dogs are now reunited with their battle buddies.

Star was tied to a tree and left for dead when panic gripped a Dominican Republic community over several rabies cases and spurred the abandonment and killing of many innocent and healthy street dogs. Fortunately for Star, she was rescued in time.

Thanks to the generous financial support of our North American supporters, dozens of volunteers and veterinary staff were able to sterilize over 50 stray dogs who live beside a dangerously busy stretch of highway in Ecuador. SPCA International staff were lucky to see them in action!

The logistics are complicated, and the rescues are risky, but we recently made it to the U.S. with 16 lucky battle buddies who now call their soldier’s house “home” and their spouses and children “family.”
