At PAWsitive Recovery, our mission is to facilitate the healing process of individuals struggling with addiction by incorporating the therapeutic benefits of animal interaction and companionship. We firmly believe that the presence of animals can have a profound effect on the recovery journey.
Volunteers play a vital role in helping us create a nurturing environment for our program participants. As a volunteer with PAWsitive Recovery, you will have the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive program that offers a variety of rewarding specializations, including:
- Animal Care and Socialization (assisting with the daily care, feeding, grooming, and exercise of our animals while providing them with love and attention)
- Program Support (supporting our staff during therapy sessions and workshops, helping to facilitate animal-assisted activities, and promoting a positive atmosphere for participants)
- Outreach and Fundraising (assisting with community outreach events, fundraising initiatives, and spreading awareness about our organization’s mission)
- Transports (safely transporting animals in our program from one destination to another)
Please keep in mind that volunteering at PAWsitive Recovery requires a commitment of time and energy, as well as a genuine passion for our cause.
Our volunteers must be at least 18 years old, located in the Denver area, and be comfortable interacting with animals of various sizes and temperaments.
