Their Work

Albergando, Defendiendo Y Protegiendo Animales (ADPA) has been working to provide a dignified life for the street dogs in Mexico for over 20 years.

This non-governmental organization has run as an animal shelter since 1996, where they rehabilitate, sterilize and care for abandoned, abused and neglected animals. They promote responsible pet ownership and try to promote awareness of animal welfare in the state of Quintana Roo. ADPA was founded and is still run by Rosalinda Figueroa. Together with her team, she helps distribute food, clean kennels, and supervise medical cases.

SPCA International is proud to support Rosalinda’s work and the efforts of the whole team at Albergando, Defendiendo Y Protegiendo Animales as they continue to care for an aging dog population with love and compassion.
