Their Work
Founded in 2008, Dharamsala Animal Rescue has been helping 1500 animals annually through their programs and community outreach.
Dharamsala Animal Rescue is constantly working to end human death caused by rabies through humane animal control, rescue work, adoption and education. Not only do they provide care for the large stray dog population (an estimated 5000 in Dharamsala) but also to local pets and farm animals. With only 9 full time staff members Dharamsala Animal Rescue is able to spay/neuter roughly 500 animals each year.
SPCA International is proud to support Dharamsala Animal Rescue and their goal to spay, neuter and vaccinate the stray dog population in their community.
