Founded in Costa Rica, El Refugio Hogar Animal Costa Ballena’s mission has been to decrease the stray population and help the homeless dogs and cats of Costa Ballena find forever loving homes.
El Refugio Hogar Animal Costa Ballena has been working hard to provide a brighter future for the stray and abandoned animals of Costa Rica. Through rescue, adoption, humane education, sterilization clinics and low-income community outreach El Refugio Hogar Animal Costa Ballena has been able to help over 1,300 animals since 2017.
SPCA International is proud to support El Refugio Hogar Animal Costa Ballena’s ongoing work especially as they assist low-income communities in caring for their pets during the coronavirus crisis.
