Rubicon Husky Rescue Ranch is a branch of the Play For A Stray charities, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit dog rescue organization whose sanctuary approach ensures that all dogs get a second chance at life. They work with shelters to rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized, particularly huskies. Because huskies often do not do well in a shelter/kennel environment, they struggle to find a suitable adopter. They can end up on the euthanasia list due to overcrowding or temperament. Rubicon Husky Rescue Ranch pulls these animals out of the shelter environment and provides them with training and socialization with professional dog handlers. Once ready, the huskies are adopted into loving homes. Dogs not suited for adoption become permanent members of the dog sanctuary, where they will be loved and cared for by a team of professional dog handlers.
