The Israeli Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Ramat Gan and Vicinity was founded over 50 years. Since its establishment, the Society’s members and volunteers have cared for thousands of abandoned and neglected animals, providing for their medical care and daily welfare while striving to find them loving adoptive homes.

The Israeli Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Ramat Gan and Vicinity is a no-kill animal rescue. This guiding principle is what makes this organization unique.

Animals of all ages and conditions arrive at the shelter and guided by the above principle, they offer each and every one of them new hope for a better life and the certainty that they will never be abandoned again.

In addition to the wide range of activities carried out within the shelter, the organization promotes the values of compassion, tolerance, and assistance for those in need. They highly emphasize community involvement, education and awareness activities, and assistance to needy populations. These activities are performed at schools and youth centers, as well as special education institutions or any place where animal interaction and therapy can be of assistance.

The Israeli SPCA also offers a student volunteer program at the shelter through community service programs and scholarships. These students help care for the animals, exercise the dogs and socialize with the cats.

A Shelter Support Grant will enable them to carry out their rehabilitation and rehoming project that they are currently working on.

Jesse Adams and Brielle Turpin founded RainCoast Dog Rescue Society in British Columbia, Canada, a non-profit organization that is based on rescuing and rehabilitating dogs from high kill shelters and/or abusive homes.

RainCoast Dog Rescue Society focuses on giving misplaced, neglected, and abandoned dogs a real chance at life by working with each dog on an individual basis. Many of the dogs that come into their care are from high kill shelters in California, Mexico and some are local surrenders from Vancouver Island. They believe that dogs are family and are to be treated as so and will do everything in their power to build up their confidence and trust so that they can be adopted out into responsible loving homes.

While RainCoast relies heavily on an extensive foster network comprised of volunteers, they have also recently acquired a large piece of land with a farm to care for their rescue dogs.

In addition to their amazing rescue work the RainCoast team also has anti abuse programs, anti abuse events, petitions and public interactions to shed light on animal abuse locally and globally.
